EzDocument — Terms of Service

1. Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of EZ Document ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. 1. The app and your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use EZ Document on devices you own or control. The license follows the usage rules of the store you downloaded the app from (the Apple App Store or Google Play).

You may not:

• copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
• get around the free-use limits, the purchase checks or the app's security;
• use the app in any way that breaks the law or harms others.

3. 2. Your documents

You own the documents, images, text and signatures you create or import. You are responsible for them and for having the right to scan, edit, redact, sign and share them.

**Don't use the app to falsify or forge documents.** Examples include changing amounts on invoices or receipts you didn't issue, altering contracts, certificates or identity documents, or signing for someone else without their permission. Editing documents you have no right to change may be illegal, and you alone are responsible for it.

Your documents are stored only on your device (see our [Privacy Policy](/privacy)). We can't see, back up or recover them. If you delete the app or lose your device, your documents may be lost. Export copies of anything important.

4. 3. Check your results

Text recognition (OCR), translation and text editing are automated and can make mistakes. For example, a font may not match exactly, or a word may be recognized wrongly. **Always check documents before you rely on them or send them to someone else**, especially contracts, invoices and official forms.

When you redact text, the app turns that page into an image so the hidden text can't be recovered. As a result, the page's other text is no longer selectable. Check that everything you meant to hide is covered before you share the file.

5. 4. Free features and Premium

Scanning, importing, reading, organizing, text recognition and signing are free. Editing PDFs includes a limited number of free saved edits. After that, editing needs **EZ Document Premium**. We may change which features are free and how many free edits are included.

### Plans

• **Premium Monthly** and **Premium Yearly** are auto-renewing subscriptions.
• **Premium Lifetime** is a one-time purchase.

The app shows the current price and length of each plan before you buy. Prices can differ by country and include or exclude taxes according to the store's rules.

### Payment and auto-renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription **renews automatically** unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If a plan offers a free trial, you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when the purchase is made.
• If we change a subscription price, the store will tell you beforehand as its rules require.

### Lifetime

Premium Lifetime unlocks Premium for as long as we offer the app on the store where you bought it. You don't pay again. It is linked to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. Purchases can't be moved between the App Store and Google Play.

### Restoring purchases

Use **Restore** on the upgrade screen, or **Settings > Restore purchases**, on any device signed in to the same store account.

### Refunds

The App Store and Google Play handle all payments, so refund requests go to them, under their policies:

• Google Play: Google Play's refund page

### Tips

"Buy me a coffee" is an optional tip to support development. It doesn't unlock any features.

6. 5. Third-party services

The app relies on services from Apple, Google (including Firebase and ML Kit), RevenueCat and others, described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy). It also includes open-source software and fonts, each under its own license. We aren't responsible for services provided by third parties.

7. 6. Our rights

The app, its design, code, graphics and the EZ Document name belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to them except the license in section 1.

8. 7. Disclaimer

The app is provided **"as is" and "as available"**. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will keep your data safe from loss.

9. 8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any of the following, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app:

• indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages;
• loss of data, documents, profits or business.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

10. 9. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your license if you break these terms. Sections 2, 3 and 6 to 11 continue to apply after the terms end.

11. 10. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple is not responsible for handling any claims about the app. This includes product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property. We are responsible for these, as far as these terms require.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data service agreement.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. 11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.

13. 12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll also tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
